Dear Friends,

I’m learning the value of occasionally venturing down memory lane as it brings true appreciation for foundational principles in order to justify your resolve for righteousness.

Please allow me a moment to walk you through the journey that got us to where we are today. It all started for me on a cold April 2007 afternoon in the Conference Room of Crossroad Christian Church. I was sitting in a board meeting with Pastors Anthony and Margo Wallace, other board members and advisors (of what was then a daycare – “Crossroad Christian Developmental Academy”. After careful study and consideration of the data that was before us, Pastor Wallace posed the question.. ‘Can we make this happen by the start of the next school year?’ Being an educator, I immediately began to calculate the number of months from April to September. It took less than a second for me to derive the number to be 5 months!!! I listened intently to all the positive responses from the board members as Pastor Wallace went from person to person. Then it was my turn to respond. I took a deep breath and then before I could open my mouth to respond, I felt a reassurance to only trust. It was then and only then that I felt peacefully compelled to respond accordingly. It was because I trusted in my Heavenly Father and the conviction, integrity and character of my Pastors that I knew that the season of the mandate was upon us and we could not retreat.

Timing and preparation had intersected and destiny came forth in the establishment of Kingdom Christian Academy, Inc. (KCA). The weight of the mantel lingered over us all as we gazed into each other’s eyes knowing that we had no other choice but to move on the call to bring forth an Academy which exuded stellar academic distinction coupled with superior Christian principles through God’s word being induced in the lives in its students on a daily basis. Without saying the words we all knew that there could be no compromise because our students would be called out by God to be different, aggressive for the things of God, fully prepared, and tenacious about kingdom advancement. Pastor Wallace then gave the command, “Go Forward”.

We’re only 3 years young and we are just as dedicated to become better and more efficient at what we do. However we can wholeheartedly say with all assurance and confidence that the principles we were built on has not and will not change… There is no compromises, at any cost, on the merit of Academic Excellence at a Higher Level and Spiritual Supremacy in the things of God.

Students who enter through our doors in September are transformed into scholars and disciples by June. They are more confident in who they are and their abilities. KCA’s parents are amazed at the transformation that occurs in such a short period of time. We are often asked, ‘how are you able to do what you do?’ Collectively our response has always been..it’s about Him! KCA stands on the principle that it remains to be about Him and for Him. We believe in keeping it simple and it because of this straightforward and uncomplicated message that we experience genuine and bona fide victory, both spiritually and academically. It’s all about Him and it always will be!

KCA is the Premier Academy that God has predestined us to be. We continue to partner with our parents and community to work side by side and hand in hand to change a generation…one disciple at a time!

In Him!
