The Kingdom Christian Academy (KCA) building is a state of the art 28,000 square foot educational facility. The KCA building construction is well under way and is scheduled to open for School Year 2010/11. Facility will have includes 10 classrooms, a teacher’s lounge and 3 offices – with the ability to add an additional 12 classrooms on the 2nd floor (phase 2). All classrooms have individualized climate control. The opposite side of the building will be a multi-purpose auditorium for the gymnasium, cafeteria and assemblies.
Facility will have a fully integrated security system with remote monitoring capabilities and sonic system.
Construction:
The KCA building is progressing now that we have a break in inclement weather.
The building foundation/ footers/ piers are complete and the concrete slab (floor of the building) is 85% finished.
Approximately 95% of the buildings structural framing (Red Steel) has been erected. The building is now being prepped for the installation of roofing and siding.
Final evaluation of the plumbing and electrical bids is in progress and will be completed soon. The rough installation, framing and balance of the interior fit-out will be scheduled in sequence.
The KCA site (grounds) is in its final phase of construction. The installation of Storm Water Controls, Sewer, Water, Gas, and Grading are complete. The playground and athletic fields are currently being graded with top soil. The entrance driveways, parking lots are being prepared for the initial (base) coat of asphalt asphalt paving.
We are on schedule for completion and the doors will be open on the first day of school! Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
