KCA teachers use multiple teaching strategies to actively engage all students in the learning process. The teachers draw their lessons from a wide range of resources including the A Beka Curriculum and further enhanced with the use of technology.

A Beka is a Christian-based approach to theory and learning that is achieved through practicality, which keeps learning lively, interesting and memorable.  It includes materials that have been developed as a result of fifty years of actual classroom experience.  The principles in the curriculum are built upon the firm foundation of scriptural truth and are written by dedicated and talented Christian scholars who are well grounded in the practical aspects of classroom excellence.  As a result, A Beka is the most widely used Christian curriculum in the nation.

KCA currently offers the following subjects: Bible, Language Arts, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Music, Foreign Language, Art, Character Development, and Physical Education.

Academics…We believe that it is imperative to equip our students to think well, to learn fast, to develop knowledge concepts, and to manage information; thus, we have structured the KCA educational experience to produce these results.  We aim to expand our student’s minds while equipping them to think strategically, critically and creatively.  We strongly emphasize academic excellence and achievement, and prepare them for success in every area of their lives.

Conducive Environment…KCA creates a learning environment where students are encouraged to explore and discover themselves in our scholastic, nurturing, Christian environment.  We strongly believe that every student is unique in their own way, and that they need to learn in an environment that is conducive to whom they were created to be—disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Our goal is to cultivate the God-given talents by encouraging our students to pursue individual dreams and aspirations.

The Emphasis…We believe that it is easy to expand a student’s mind once they personally encounter the love of God, and see it in the lives of others.  Our staff members are righteous examples to our students, they provide opportunities for them to explore the truths of the Bible and come to a place where they acknowledge the ultimate truth in the person of Jesus Christ.  As evidenced by our name, we seek to ensure that our students know they “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9.

Creativity…Development of the whole student is a priority for KCA.  Extracurricular activities offer students a structured time during which they can interact with other students while expanding their knowledge base.  We provide opportunities for students to grow and develop in areas in which they might not have any previous experience.  KCA encourages students to become involved in all activities so their horizons can be broadened and untapped interests and talents can be discovered.

The Enjoyment…Children learn through enjoyment and fun.  It has been proven that when students enjoy the learning process, they tend to engage themselves more in the activities thus producing successful outcomes.  Students who are active learners tend to read more, write more, and apply themselves to the overall learning process more.  KCA purposes to create a delicate yet balanced approach to learning, which will result in academic achievement as well as overall student success.
